Cooking Chef Ranveer Brar's Tandoori Chicken with ChatGPT
For some time now, I've been a fan of Chef Ranveer Brar recipes for cooking. Today, I decided to try something different by enlisting ChatGPT as my cooking assistant. I copied Brar's recipe from his YouTube channel into ChatGPT and instructed it to guide me through the cooking process step by step. It ended up being pretty interesting!
Then I switched to voice mode and started off by asking ChatGPT to provide me with the ingredients, along with their quantities. It was impressively good at this task. One interesting ingredient in the recipe was roasted gram flour, which required careful attention because it's easy to burn. To tackle this, I instructed ChatGPT to remind me to check on the flour while it provided the ingredient list. And it did just that, reminding me to keep an eye on the stove whenever it gave me a new ingredient.
This was really helpful.
Further along was the task of marinating the chicken, which needed to be done for more than an hour. While waiting, I asked ChatGPT if there was anything else I could do. It suggested making sides like chutney, so I inquired about chutney recipes using ingredients I had at home - tomatoes, coriander, and garlic. ChatGPT promptly provided a chutney recipe and even suggested roasting the garlic in the preheated oven, since I was already using it for the tandoori chicken. I thought that was clever and efficient, as it utilized the preheated oven which I was anyways going to use for the chicken.
Overall, it was fun to have ChatGPT’s help out with a new recipe by just talking to and it also provided helpful suggestions along the way.
During cooking your hands are often tied, and using voice mode made a ton of sense. Whether you're multitasking at the gym, have your hands occupied, or even driving, voice mode proves to be a handy tool. I'm particularly excited about the upcoming features in voice mode, which are set to launch very soon.
